Elastic Interface unveils Tailwind TT cycling pad for time trials

Tailwind TT, the new Elastic Interface® cycling pad dedicated to time trials, makes its debut at Performance Days in Munich (13–14 October). Engineered around the aerodynamic position and the specific load distribution of time trial riding, it delivers targeted protection and support where needed, with reduced thickness and bulk.

At the Performance Days trade show in Munich, Elastic Interface®, the Italian brand recognised worldwide for its technical comfort solutions for cycling, presents Tailwind TT, its new cycling pad developed and engineered in Italy specifically for time trials. Designed around the aerodynamic riding position and saddle pressure distribution typical of time trialling, it concentrates support and protection in the front area, where pressure is greatest, while progressively reducing material in less stressed areas. The result is a thin, compact and lightweight structure that promotes stability, biomechanical efficiency and freedom of movement, while minimising friction, creasing and micro-movements on the saddle.

Tailwind TT combines Eco MAX, a soft and elastic microfibre made with recycled polyamide, with a dual-density construction featuring reticulated polyurethane foams, including the new high-support RET D90 reticulated foam, and a lighter top layer to enhance breathability and moisture management. Refined Edge technology reduces bulk along the edges and minimises material overlap, helping to keep thickness, weight and heat build-up to a minimum.

With Tailwind TT, Elastic Interface® expands its range of discipline-specific cycling pads with a design that brings together materials research, biomechanical development and field testing with athletes. The result is a solution tailored to the specific demands of time trialling and to the ongoing evolution of TT bikes and saddles, including split-nose configurations.
