Introducing the all-new fourth generation Canyon Aeroad

Canyon has unveiled the all-new 4th generation Aeroad. Engineered with unprecedented levels of feedback from Canyon pro riders and team mechanics, the new Aeroad is proven as the fastest bike in the WorldTour peloton, a total racing machine backed up by levels of reliability, durability, and integration that make every aspect of riding a dream in motion.

Input from over 50 WorldTour pros and their mechanics paved the way for developing the new Aeroad. Their brief to us was clear: the 4th generation Aeroad had to harness the raw speed of the 3rd generation bike, with refinement across the board. Bikes capable of going beyond limits. Simply serviceable. Unbeatably rapid.

Race tough. Race ready.

The new Aeroad delivers next-level durability to handle all the rigors of racing, from critical sections of reinforced carbon layup to the smallest mechanical details.

Sections of the frame have also been reinforced to boost handling responsiveness. As with any race bike in 2024, lightness that doesn’t compromise aero performance was also a key focus, complete builds now tip the scales just a shade over 7 kg out the box.

What’s more, increased 32 mm tyre clearance makes the Aeroad the most versatile aero racer in its class, capable of carrying the torch from the smooth streets of Milan-San Remo to the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix.

Introducing PACE Bar

Headlining the 4th generation Aeroad is the PACE Bar. Standing for Performance Adaptive Cockpit Ecosystem, the PACE Bar unlocks an array of performance options and broader fit range through innovative cockpit modularity.

Riders can now swap out the handlebar drops in a matter of minutes and choose between Classic Drops and Aero Drops which feature a more aggressive flared form in-line with modern rider preferences. By further reducing the rider’s frontal surface, the Aero Drops can save up to 14 watts when it matters most.

The fastest bike in the WorldTour

Of course, retaining the crown as the fastest bike in the WorldTour was going to be a major development objective. Testing carried out at the GST Wind Tunnel* in South Germany places the new Aeroad at the top of the WorldTour peloton leaderboard. As with previous generations of the Aeroad, the real engineering triumph here is how the new bike achieves this aero performance while remaining light and compliant enough for use in all high-level road races.

Benchmark reliability

When all is said and done, the Aeroad had to be a dream to live with as well as a dream to ride. Canyon engineers have gone the extra mile to guarantee the Aeroad is simple to set up and easy to maintain.

From hermetically sealed premium headset bearings to the application of high strength T25 stainless steel and titanium screws manufactured in Germany across the entire frameset, the new Aeroad is built to perform day in, day out, season after season, year after year.

The new Aeroad range

The new line-up comprises six** Shimano Di2 or SRAM AXS models across two platforms, the Aeroad CFR and Aeroad CF SLX.

CFR models are built using the finest carbon Canyon can source, resulting in a frameset that delivers lightness, toughness, and stiffness at WorldTour level.

The CF SLX carbon layup strikes the optimal balance of lightweight construction and high strength. CF SLX models are available in either Di2 or AXS builds with either a CF SLX 7 or CF SLX 8 specification.

Both the CF SLX and CFR platforms feature full system integration and electronic groupsets across the board, plus power meters on all models apart from the AEROAD CF SLX 7 AXS.

The all-new, 4th generation Aeroad is available now exclusively at Canyon.com or via the Canyon app.
