Alé & Team Jayco Alula present team kit for the Tour de France
WorldTour Team, Team Jayco AlUla will race the Tour de France 2024 with a new team kit by Alé.
The new uniform will be launched on the occasion of the start of the iconic French men’s stage race, scheduled for Saturday 29 June from Florence, and on the occasion of the women’s race, Le Tour de Femmes, scheduled to start from Rotterdam (NL) on 12 August.
Alé has been a proud partner of the team for several years and has now produced this unique kit, consisting of a jersey and shorts, whose colours and graphics are inspired by the art, culture and nature that characterise the splendid landscapes of AlUla, the famous city in Saudi Arabia.
The new kit is a Limited-Edition uniform and is part of the PR-S line by Alé, whose fabrics, fit and cuts have been specifically designed by Alé to support professional riders in their performance goals.
Based on the green and orange colours, the pattern of the new kit is inspired by the iconic landscape of AlUla, its ancient rock formations and famous rock carving as well as by modern landmarks, such as the Maraya Hall. References to AlUla’s bold rich traditional crafts and design aesthetic, can be found on the jersey pattern too.
Alessia Piccolo, Managing Director of APG, the company that owns Alé, commented: “A beautiful and inspiring design characterises this new kit that will be worn during the world’s most famous stage race. A tribute to the iconic Arab city and its culture. We are delighted to have participated in this project and wish the Men’s and Women’s teams the best success in the race.”
Brent Copeland, Team Jayco AlUla General Manager, is delighted to have this new look as a way of showcasing the team’s important partner on the world’s biggest stage, “The kit design is truly special and really stands out compared to the kit designs that we have had in the past. With great thought gone into every detail of this design, we will wear it with pride during the Tour de France, demonstrating our continued effort to communicate to the world the extraordinary heritage and cultural significance of AlUla. It really is a remarkable place with so many natural wonders waiting to be explored. We hope to achieve the best possible results in this new kit design as a way of showing gratitude to our loyal partner AlUla, Team Owner Gerry Ryan, and Alé who did such a wonderful job developing and manufacturing this new kit”
