Fuel Hub signs deal with Super League Triathlon
Premium athlete performance meal provider Fuel Hub has been announced as an official partner of the 2023 Super League Triathlon Championship Series event, which kick-starts in Canary Wharf, London this weekend (25-27th August).
The worldwide event, now in its fifth year, takes place from August to November with races this year being hosted in London, Toulouse, Malibu and Neom. During the three-day competition, Fuel Hub will be providing its athlete approved meals, crafted by its in-house nutritionists and team of elite chefs, to over 35 of the world’s elite triathlon athletes taking part in the swim-bike-run series, including Jonny Brownlee, Georgia Taylor-Brown, Alex Yee, Beth Potter and Connor Bentley.
Jonny Brownlee, Olympic gold, silver and bronze triathlon medallist and Fuel Hub ambassador, said: “I’ve been working with Fuel Hub for a couple of months now and I wish I had started using them earlier in my career. By eating Fuel Hub, I now get really good quality prepared meals, with over 40g of protein, which is especially crucial when I’m training five to six hours a day across multiple sessions.”
Fuel Hub is projected to increase its turnover by 176 per cent from April this year to April 2024. As part of the Championship Series event, Fuel Hub will sit alongside other strategic partners including Garmin, Zwift and Asics.
Fuel Hub boasts an impressive portfolio of clients, supplying its performance meals to Chelsea F.C., Fulham F.C., and Manchester United F.C. Women. The Warrington-based business also fuels England Rugby Union and Team GB and recently added Hyrox – a global fitness race – to its partnerships roster.
Michelle Laithwaite, CEO at Fuel Hub, said: “This is an incredibly proud moment for us as the Super League Triathlon Championship Series is the world’s fastest triathlon series with some of the world’s most elite athletes taking part.
“We really understand how important nutrition and diet is to hit peak performance, which is why it’s fantastic that the Super League Triathlon Championship Series has chosen us to fuel all athletes during the opener, which is bound to be tough with its tight and technical course!”
Matt Caren, Commercial Director at Super League Triathlon said: “Access to elite food at a massive event can always be a challenge, especially when it’s so critical to athlete performance and wellbeing.
“This is why we’re so happy to have partnered with Fuel Hub as our nutrition providers. We know that the team’s dedicated nutritionists and chefs are committed to creating meals for athlete performance, which aren’t just regular meals, but that contain all the macros, protein and calories that will get the competitors through each race at their highest level. Off the back of a successful SLT Arena Games powered by Zwift, we’re excited to continue our partnership with Fuel Hub for the London leg of the 2023 Championship Series.”
