Oxford signs sponsorship deal with British Downhill pro rider Taylor Vernon
Oxford has entered into a 2023 sponsorship deal with professional British Downhill rider Taylor Vernon, as he looks to achieve a successful race season in the National Downhill Series and a number of rounds of the Downhill World Cup.
Taylor Vernon has been on the Downhill racing scene since a junior; he achieved a 1st place on round 5 of the IXS European Cup, a few British Downhill National victories in rounds 4, 5, and 6 as well as winning the overall title. An additional 1st place in the Extreme DH Summer Series at Llangollen and the British National Championships Youth title had firmly reinforced his dominance in Downhill racing.
An unfortunate crash in 2013 looked to be career-ending for Taylor, but after a few years of recovery and plenty of practise Taylor is back on the up. His return to form culminated in a 3rd place at Red Bull Hardline 2022, which helped to jump him back up into the top 70 seeded riders in the world.
Taylor will be riding with Oxford clearly displayed on his kit alongside Oxford’s 3rd party brands G-FORM and TAYA chains. G-FORM will become Taylor’s official protection sponsor for 2023 while Oxford products will be supplying Taylor with MINT cleaning and maintenance products and Torque Tools to ensure his race bike is kept ‘mint’ throughout the season.
