ROUVY and IRONMAN announce multi-year partnership which will see enhanced virtual cycling experience for triathletes
ROUVY acquires FulGaz, the existing Virtual Cycling Platform of the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Global Series from The IRONMAN Group

IRONMAN, the global leader in long-distance triathlon, and ROUVY, the indoor cycling app that brings the world’s most iconic routes to life using real video routes filmed on location, have announced a multi-year partnership, which will see ROUVY become the Official Digital Sports Platform of the global IRONMAN® and IRONMAN® 70.3® Triathlon Series. In addition to the partnership, ROUVY acquires FulGaz, the existing Virtual Cycling Platform of the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Global Series, from The IRONMAN Group.
The partnership with ROUVY amplifies IRONMAN’s ongoing commitment to elevating the athlete experience at every step in the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 journey. Riders will be able to test themselves on iconic IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 courses using high-quality routes that are recorded on location around the world and enhanced with cutting-edge augmented reality technology. Innovative features like realistic corner braking, marked aid stations, and real-time data analytics will help riders build muscle memory of routes in advance to give them a vital race-day edge.
Scott DeRue, CEO of The IRONMAN Group, said: “We are on a mission to inspire our athletes and elevate their experience on race day and every day in between. In this pursuit, we are investing in innovation and partnering with leading brands that can help us enrich the athlete experience.
“Over the last few years, ROUVY has been on the leading edge of revolutionizing the indoor cycling platform, and with their technology and commitment to innovation, we will elevate the athletes’ virtual training experience to an entirely new level. Pairing our iconic IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 routes with ROUVY’s seamless user experience, immersive technology, and unparalleled data analytics, we will help both novice and experienced triathletes perform at their very best and have a lot of fun doing it.”
Building on the significant growth of ROUVY in recent years, the strategic acquisition of FulGaz and partnership with IRONMAN will expand ROUVY’s global reach even further, grow the ROUVY community, and offer ROUVY users unique access to IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 courses – all in support of ROUVY’s mission to provide the most realistic and engaging indoor platform for cyclists and triathletes.
Petr Samek, CEO of ROUVY, added: “We’re at an especially exciting stage of development, growing organically due to the engaging and high-quality riding experience our platform provides but also, fortunately, in a position to capitalize on pivotal opportunities as and when they arise. In our discussions with IRONMAN about forming a multi-year partnership, it became apparent that FulGaz would be one such opportunity, so we’re delighted to announce the news of this acquisition and the bringing together of two of the best-loved virtual cycling platforms in the world.
“Our collaboration with IRONMAN marks a significant milestone in making ROUVY the go-to indoor cycling platform for triathletes. We’re thrilled to provide users with an immersive and effective way to train, helping them achieve their triathlon goals and discover courses around the world that they may never have the opportunity to ride in real life. Furthermore, this exciting development continues to evolve the experience for all ROUVY users alike. As ever, we’re fully committed to the cycling and triathlon communities and optimizing the riding experience for our users, so we look forward to showing ROUVY users the benefits we see ahead, both in the immediate future and further down the road.”
