Stolen Goat parent company, The Herd Group, launches crowdfunding campaign
The Herd Group Holdings – parent company to Stolen Goat, VeloVixen and Wildcat – has gone publicly live with their crowdfunding campaign.
The raise gives them the opportunity to not only take what we can offer across the Stolen Goat, VeloVixen and Wildcat platforms to the next level – it also means we can bring the strong communities that have played a key role in the success of these brands, right into the heart of our next chapter.
After an incredible response during the private live phase of the campaign they have now exceeded their initial fundraising target of £200k by almost 50 per cent, with over 185 members of their community choosing to become an extra special part of their Herd and come along for the ride.
The ride so far…
Last month, they announced that The Herd Group Holdings had been created as the parent company for Stolen Goat, VeloVixen and Wildcat. Over the last 10 plus years, these brands have won awards, featured in leading media titles and established strong communities of likeminded individuals – with over 83,300 people (and counting) choosing their kit for their adventures.
Bringing these three online brands under one roof gives an exciting opportunity to take what they can offer on each platform to the next level, and feeds into their mission of empowering more people to get out there and do more of what they love.
The miles ahead
The communities behind the Stolen Goat, VeloVixen and Wildcat brands have played a pivotal role in their journey so far. The crowdfunding campaign gives them the opportunity to bring these people who love what they do and believe in what they stand for right into the centre of their business.
The support from the crowdfunding campaign will help to take these platforms to the next level and extend what they can offer, while continuing to nurture the communities behind them.
Their ambitions across the three brands include…
Stolen Goat:
· Further develop their product ranges across swim, bike and run, continuing to develop their combination of performance, comfort and style. So their customers can adventure in more ways than ever before. Plus, they’ll be able to expand their international marketing efforts and bring more people into our Herd.
VeloVixen:
· Produce a new VeloVixen cycling kit range, designed by women graphic designers and developed with feedback from the community. Expand the product offering to include select third-party brands, selected by the community. Re-introduce international shipping so more Vixens can come into the fox den.
Wildcat:
· Expand the in-house range to include bags and accessories for a wider range of activities, such as hiking and camping. Enhance the bikepacking collection. Stock a wider range of third-party products.
Ultimately, they want to make sure that whoever you are, and however you like to Find Your Freedom – you can access the kit, the support and the inspiration you need to make the most of all your adventures.
Discussing the campaign so far, CEO of The Herd Group, Tim Bland, said: “We’ve been blown away by the support so far. We know that our communities have been, and will continue to be, a vital part of our success – so it’s fantastic to have this opportunity to integrate them deeper into our business. It’s a really exciting time for us, and we’re so grateful that so many people have already chosen to join The Herd. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve on this next stage of our adventure which such a strong community behind us. There’s still time to get involved, so if you’re interested in coming along for the ride we’d love for you to join us.”
