2026 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships: Day four
Great Britain finished top of the medal table at the 2026 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships after winning eight medals on day four in Apeldoorn.
The Great Britain Cycling Team topped the para-track world championship medal table for the first time since 2023. The result follows the team’s table-topping performance at the 2026 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in October.
Fin Graham wins gold and takes his tally to five
Scotland’s Fin Graham claimed his fourth medal and first gold of this year’s championships in the men’s C3 scratch race. He later added a fifth medal with silver in the C1-5 mixed team sprint alongside Kadeena Cox and Jody Cundy.
Kent’s Jacob Smith won his first world championship medal, taking bronze in the men’s C3 scratch race. A spinal cord injury at the age of 19 left Smith partially paralysed, and he had to relearn how to ride a bike. He attended a British Cycling talent identification day two years later and was accepted onto the para-cycling pathway programme.
Third world title for Ball and Pope
James Ball and Scottish pilot Aaron Pope won their third world title of the championships in the mixed tandem B team sprint, alongside Lizzi Jordan and Anna Whitworth-Hay. The victory marked the tenth world title of Ball’s career.
Archie Atkinson added silver in the men’s C4 elimination race, while Morgan Newberry took silver and Crystal Lane-Wright bronze in the women’s C5 scratch race. Lane-Wright’s medal was her first since returning to track cycling after having her son.
Millie Cass also won silver in the women’s C2 elimination race.
