international GRANFONDO LA FAUSTO COPPI 2025 registration opens
Registration opens for the 36th La Fausto Coppi international cycling granfondo. The official start will be given at 9 pm on 20 September 2024 in the occasion of the Cuneo Bike Festival, the cycling event organised by the Cuneo Municipality.
The date of 2025 edition of La Fausto Coppi Granfondo is set for 29 June 2025, starting, as always, from the central Piazza Galimberti in Cuneo (North-West Italy).
After an exceptional 2024 edition (2300 registered participants and more than 2200 athletes at the starting line), the international Granfondo La Fausto Coppi returns in 2025 with its two historic routes – the Granfondo (177 km – 4,125 m +altitude) and the Mediofondo (111 km- 2,500 m +altitude) – as well as with a third non-competitive route, the Fauniera Classic. The KOM for all circuits will as always be the Colle Fauniera, a 22.3 km long climb, up to the 2,481 m summit.
La Fausto Coppi International Granfondo is one of the five most important international cycling marathons and the most important in the north-west Italy. It is named after the famous cyclist Fausto Coppi (1919-1960). Each year, the event brings to Cuneo thousands of cyclists from all over the world. La Fausto Coppi Granfondo is an opportunity to ride on the roads of the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France, discovering splendid alpine scenarios.
The first appointment for the many fans from over 36 nations is set for Friday 27 June 2025 with the opening of the expo village in Piazza Galimberti, and the collection of race packs. Many events and side initiatives are scheduled for the rest of the weekend aimed to both cyclists and their families.
The iconic La Fausto Coppi jersey, showing the flags of the 36 nations that took part in the event up to now, will be supplied to each participant. It is mandatory to wear this jersey during the whole race.
As per tradition, there is no starting list or rows at La Fausto Coppi, though cyclists can participate in the ‘Salviamo le Strade di Montagna’ (Save the Mountain Roads) activation: 200 bibs at 120 euro each, will allow a front row start. The ASD Fausto Coppi on the road, organizers of the event, will devolve the proceeds to the maintenance of the Granfondo’s alpine routes.
Registration fees will be segmented as follows: € 50,00 for the first 500 places, €55,00 until December 31st, 2024, € 60,00 until March 31st, 2025, € 70,00 from the 1st of April 2025 to the 24th of June 2025.
