TripAdvisor recently released its Seasonal Travel Index for the summer months, with this year’s most popular UK staycations tipped for London, Edinburgh and Blackpool, and June 30th set to be the busiest day for UK travellers setting off on holiday.
For those planning to stay on UK soil this summer, city breaks seem to be taking the top spot, occupying 80% of the top ten destinations. Bournemouth, Newquay and Brighton, dotted along the South Coast, are the Brits’ top choices for coastal stays.
According to Google search data, searches for cycling holidays in the UK are rising, and tricycle expert James Walker says that more and more people are finding the joy of three wheels.
