ALÉ and BMC Pro Triathlon Team renew their partnership for 2025
The ambitious triathlon team, led by Bob De Wolf, will continue to compete in 2025 wearing Alé cycling kits and triathlon skinsuits
Alé and the BMC Pro Triathlon Team have renewed their partnership for 2025. As in the previous season, the renowned Italian brand will supply technical race apparel and skinsuits to the seven members of the team.
The BMC Pro Triathlon Team stands as one of the most significant and ambitious projects in professional triathlon today. Since its launch in 2014, the team has claimed over 150 race victories and achieved more than 300 podium finishes, including an Ironman World Championship title in Hawaii in 2022, a bronze medal (mixed relay) at the latest Paris Olympics, a podium finish in the overall standings of the 2024 Ironman Pro Series, victory at the 2023 PTO Open European Championship, the 2021 ITU LD World Championship title, 11 continental championship titles, three runner-up world titles, and numerous wins in the most prestigious races on the calendar.
The 2025 roster consists of seven elite athletes, including three new entries. Each of them is a top name in the global triathlon scene, with notable victories and podiums in 2024.
The line-up includes: Lucy Byram (GBR – 2nd at Challenge Beijing 2024), Sam Dickinson (GBR – Olympic bronze medalist, Paris 2024 – mixed relay), new entry Miguel Lopes Hidalgo (BRA – 3rd at World Championship Series Weihai 2024), new entry Antonio Benito Lopez (ESP – 2024 Long Distance Triathlon World Champion), new entry Laura Madsen (DEN – winner of Challenge Samarkand 2024), Clément Mignon (FRA – 2nd at the 2024 Ironman Texas American Championship), and reconfirmed athlete Thor Bendix Madsen (DEN).
For them, Alé provides the pinnacle of textile engineering, offering garments from its PR-R line, specifically designed for professional cyclists. At the top of the range is the ultra-technical race suit, engineered for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, breathability, and fast drying times. Various fabrics have been strategically positioned to optimize their specific properties according to body placement. The suit fits like a second skin, ensuring exceptional elasticity, breathability, and quick drying, enhancing athlete comfort and facilitating smooth transitions—all in the name of peak performance.
The team colours remain unchanged for the 2025 kit (white, red, black), but new graphic elements have been introduced.
Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG, the company behind Alé, commented: “We are truly honoured to renew our collaboration with the BMC Pro Triathlon Team, continuing the journey we started last year as their official race apparel partner. This is an exciting and ambitious project, and we are happy to be part of it again. Triathlon is an extremely demanding discipline, and we have worked to provide the team’s athletes with a high-performance technical suit that represents the best of our textile engineering, aiming to help them maximize their performance.”
The Team’s CEO, Bob De Wolf, commented: “The BMC Pro Triathlon Team is built on key values of professionalism and high performance. The team’s philosophy and vision is to provide maximal professional support for our athletes with the ultimate goal to achieve top results. We constantly strive for innovation, to find technical and material advantages and to provide our athletes with the most competitive set up. The continuation of the partnership with Alé offers us the opportunity to continue delivering real physiological benefits on the garments side, enabling our athletes to train harder, perform stronger and race faster. As one of the world’s most technical sportswear companies, Alé brings the knowhow, expertise and in-house production capabilities to provide our athletes with best-in-class race & cycling apparel to optimize overall performance. We saw the benefits from our partnership last season and are very proud and excited to continue our journey in 2025.”
