Alex Yee and Beth Potter named on provisional Tauranga World Cup start lists

Alex Yee, Beth Potter and Georgia Taylor-Brown are among the British names included on the initial start lists for the World Triathlon Cup in Tauranga, New Zealand, on 22 November 2026. The event has attracted strong early interest, with men’s and women’s lists filled to their 60-athlete limits.

British names feature in international field

Olympic champion Yee appears on the provisional men’s list alongside several leading World Cup competitors. Potter and Taylor-Brown feature in the women’s entries, with New Zealand stars Hayden Wilde and Nicole van der Kaay also drawing attention to the event.

These are not confirmed final starters. The organisers explicitly caution that national federations may replace nominated athletes before race day. Their inclusion indicates the calibre of the expected field, rather than a guarantee that every listed competitor will race.

Tauranga prepares for November racing

The World Cup will be staged at Mount Maunganui as part of a wider programme of age-group and junior racing. The women’s elite race is scheduled for 2pm local time and the men’s for 4pm.

For British triathlon followers, the event offers a potential late-season opportunity to see several familiar names against a strong international line-up. Final selections should be checked nearer the race.
