Berlin-based bike brand Standert introduces the all new Kreissäge RS
Built on an understanding of performance and craftsmanship, the new Kreissäge RS is Standert’s bold reimagination of the modern aluminium race bike
Standert, the boutique bicycle brand hailing from Berlin, specialising in steel and aluminium bikes, are thrilled to announce the launch of the new Kreissäge RS.
KREISSÄGE RS
Pronounced: /cry-zay-guh are-ess/ f
- Circular saw
- A bike built for KOMpetition.
Riding to be better every day, training to win a race or just to beat a PB, the new Kreissäge RS will show up and put in the work. Handmade in Italy using exclusive Dedacciai scandium aluminium tubing, the Kreissäge RS is designed for making you want to go fast.
Aero is everything
From a distance, you’d be forgiven for thinking round tubes still reign supreme. But look a little closer… Thanks to custom-engineered, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) optimised head-, top- and down-tubes, as well as seatstays, the new frame gains significant aerodynamic improvements, enhancing speed and efficiency.
Tried and true, then improved
Built for speed, the new Kreissäge RS is a bold reimagination of the modern aluminium race bike. The balanced and race-proven geometry is about all that remains from the bike’s predecessor, with Standert taking just about everything else back to the drawing board.
As well as the CFD optimised aero tubing, gains have also been made in areas such as the trusty T47 BB shell being widened, allowing for greater stiffness and an increased 35mm tyre clearance. As well as this, internal headset bearings have been used to increase longevity and reduce weight, whilst the sloping top tube increases frame stiffness for better power transfer and seatpost compliance for increased comfort.
Italian craftsmanship at its finest
Handmade in Italy using exclusive scandium aluminium tubing from Dedacciai, the Kreissäge RS is manufactured by the most skilled hands in the business, and it shows in every last weld. Inspired by the precision and power of its namesake, the circular saw, the Kreissäge RS is engineered to be agile, responsive and safe. Whether racing a local crit or going for that KOM, this bike is made to go fast, responding to the riders’ every move and acceleration.
Coming soon – The Italian Job – a campaign that takes you behind the hands and maestri that craft the Kreissäge RS. From the tubing at Dedacciai to the welders and painters at Univer Telai and KMAX.Pro, Standert takes a deep dive into the history of the manufacturers, exploring the connections between the brand and its partner suppliers.
Still Scandium, still the best
Aluminium, meet scandium. The rare earth element, now synonymous with Standert, is added to give the Kreissäge RS tubeset, achieving an otherwise impossible strength-to-thickness ratio. This means thinner (read: lighter) tubes with a ride feel unmatched by aluminium alone. Exclusive to Standert from Dedacciai, who have been making steel, aluminium and scandium tubing in Italy since 1992.

Technical features
- Scandium alloy – Optimized stiffness to weight ratio with our ever improving custom drawn Scandium tubes
- Aero optimised tubing – Custom engineered aero-profile tubing, such as the “hourglass” headtube, enables a significant drag reduction
- Compact geometry – Smaller triangles allow for a stiffer frame while more seatpost exposure means more comfort
- Bladed carbon fork – 160mm max disc rotor paired with 12mm thru axle and 45mm of rake
- Tire width – Up to 35mm
- UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) – Designed to optimise shift performance as well as create a sensible solution for replacing damaged hangers. It’s becoming the standard and is available in almost every bike shop in the world, future-proofing the frame for any direct or full mount option Sram and Shimano might come up with.
- Full internal cable routing – Ensuring a clean finish as well as allowing for further aero gains
- Integrated Headset – Stainless steel and Ceramicspeed SLT™option to reduce service intervals
- T47 BB 86mm – For hassle-free installation and long-lasting performance, as well as improved frame stiffness and tyre clearance
- Trusted racing geometry – For agile, direct, responsive, and safe riding and racing
Max Von Senger, CEO and Founder at Standert said “The Kreissäge RS has always been about defining our own standards. It’s about showing what metal bikes can do, about being different in a sea of black plastic, and about having fun, while putting in the hard work. The new RS doubles down on what made the Kreissäge a great bike in the first place, while marking a big step in our quest to make the best metal race bike out there.”
Maxe Faschina, Head of Product at Standert said “Inspired by our involvement with the Standert race team, we set out to create a faster aluminium frame, pushing both material and manufacturing limits. A major redesign focused on aerodynamics, especially up front, transitioning from a more traditional can-shaped headtube to a standout ‘hourglass’ head tube — enhancing both speed and style. Born in Italy a decade ago, the Kreissäge RS stays true to its roots, being designed for crit racers but suited for all performance-driven riders. Its uncompromising build, now featuring a polymer cockpit and DT Swiss wheels, offers a refined and race-ready performance”
