The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and Visit Qatar have unveiled new 5km and 1km mass participation runs on Wednesday 10 December, 2025, to get everyone active at the start of the inaugural Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final week.

Called the Qatar T100 Kick Off Run, it will offer a 5km and 1km option to ensure participants of all levels – including families and children – have the chance to run around Lusail Boulevard, as a warm-up to the T100 professional and amateur races on the following days.

The event will also engage football fans visiting Doha for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™, taking place from December 1–18. Supporters will be invited to wear their national colours and join the run in celebration of their teams as the tournament approaches its quarter-finals on 11 December.

“Whilst the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final is the pinnacle of our T100 season and the climax of the season-long T100 Race To Qatar for the very best professional and amateur triathletes, our philosophy with T100 events is to grow the sport and encourage athletes of all levels to get involved in swim, bike or run and become more active,” said PTO CEO Sam Renouf. “Which is why we’ve introduced this Qatar T100 Kick Off Run, that is untimed, easy to enter and starts what promises to be an exciting week for the sport in Qatar. It is also a great way of involving and engaging all the football fans who are in Qatar to enjoy the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™, that is taking place at the same time.”
