Gold Coast T100 Triathlon age group races go on general sale

The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) have announced that registrations for the age group triathlon events at its Gold Coast T100 Triathlon weekend on 21-22 March, 2026, have gone on general sale.

Those looking to sign up for the 100km and Olympic distance triathlons, will have the opportunity to participate on closed road courses taking in the picturesque sea views of the iconic City of Gold Coast. The PTO’s ‘founders club’ sold out last month in less than 24hrs and now general registration is available at https://t100triathlon.com/gold-coast/participate/

The new Gold Coast T100 Triathlon was announced in May this year following a long term hosting agreement with Events Management Queensland, reported on by Fox News and many other local media outlets.

The two-day triathlon multisport festival will also feature other mass participation opportunities, including a 10km run,  as well as the newly created National Club Championships, in partnership with AusTriathlon, the national governing body for triathlon in Australia.

PTO CEO Sam Renouf said the Gold Coast ticked all the boxes when it came to meeting the destination requirements with its world-famous beaches, well-known landmarks and its track record for delivering world-class multi-sport and sporting events.

“I said when we announced this new race that whenever we’ve asked the triathlon community where they’d like us to add events, Australia is consistently at the top of the request list. So we were thrilled to announce a long term agreement to host the T100 on the beautiful Gold Coast earlier this year and the interest we’ve seen since has really born that out. So we’re now excited to go on general sale and would encourage those wanting to secure a spot to do the 100km and Olympic distance triathlons to sign up quickly.”

EMQ CEO Ben Mannion said planning for the 21-22 March 2026 event is in full swing with an emphasis on a course that makes the most of the city’s picturesque coastline and fast and flat roads for racing.

“We are increasingly excited at this event coming to the Gold Coast and bringing with it international attention and an opportunity to showcase this amazing destination and our capabilities to deliver globally recognised events.

“There is a huge community of triathletes on the Gold Coast and around the country who will welcome an opportunity to race on the same course as the world’s greatest triathletes and in the city that will host the 2032 Brisbane Olympics triathlon event.

“I encourage athletes interested to register early as this event is destined to sell out quickly,” Mr Mannion said.

The 2026 T100 Triathlon is supported by Experience Gold Coast and the Queensland Government through Tourism & Events Queensland.

The 9-leg 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour was in Vancouver on 14-15 June this month, with American star and 2024 T100 World Champion Taylor Knibb securing her first win of the season in the pro women’s race and Belgian Olympian Jelle Geens also taking his first top step of the year for the men. They competed alongside 3,000 amateurs doing a combination of a 100km and Sprint triathlons as well as a 5km community fun run.
