La Fausto Coppi and Gran Fondo Caraïbes announce sister event partnership
La Fausto Coppi International Granfondo and Gran Fondo Caraïbes have entered into a sister-event partnership to promote amateur cycling, sports tourism and the exchange of experience between their organisations.
The agreement was signed by ASD Fausto Coppi On The Road, the organising body behind the Cuneo event, and Association OD’ASS, represented by Francis Gibrien and the driving force behind Gran Fondo Caraïbes.
The partnership will focus on joint communications and promotional initiatives, the exchange of knowledge between organisers, participants and partners, and the showcasing of each destination. The aim is to encourage people to discover each other’s regions by bike, strengthening the links between sporting experience, tourism and local identity.
From the Cuneo mountains to Guadeloupe
Gran Fondo Caraïbes, held in Guadeloupe, is looking to establish itself on the international gran fondo scene. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 6 December and forms part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series. The event showcases the island’s Caribbean scenery and distinctive landscape.
The inaugural edition attracted 300 riders, with around 400 expected in 2026. The course covers 116km, with 1,685 metres of climbing.
For La Fausto Coppi, this partnership marks another step in its internationalisation strategy. Existing relationships include Granfondo Italianissima in Argentina and sister-event partnerships with the Netherlands, Argentina and Denmark, whose respective ambassadors have attended the Cuneo event.
The Cuneo event welcomes participants from more than 42 countries, showcasing the area’s mountains, villages and local identity.
La Fausto Coppi 2027 reaches 600 entries
Just over two weeks after entries opened, the 38th edition of the international gran fondo in Cuneo, scheduled for Sunday 27 June 2027, has reached the 600-entry mark.
Riders have signed up from 17 countries, including 43 from Germany and 79 from the Netherlands. The organisers say the strong start supports their efforts to grow the event internationally.
Entries are open through ENDU. Find further event information from La Fausto Coppi.
