Canadian favourite Paula Findlay will headline the Vancouver T100 Triathlon, the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and World Triathlon have confirmed as they announced the contracted T100 female athletes racing the event on 14-15 June.
Having finished runner up in the PTO’s inaugural race in Edmonton in 2022 over the 100km distance to Ashleigh Gentle, before the T100 series began, Findlay will be looking to capitalise on local knowledge and an encouraging start to the season.
“I’m really excited that Vancouver is being added to the T100 Triathlon World Tour at a fantastic new venue,” said Findlay. “I absolutely love racing in Canada on home soil, which is the roots of where I started the sport as a young kid and gave me the support that has seen me race around the world. Competing against the best in the world as well as alongside all of the amateur athletes who can get involved in T100 weekends is the best way to grow the sport of Triathlon in Canada, and I can’t wait to see everyone there!”
Singapore T100 Triathlon winner and third place athletes Kate Waugh and Lucy Charles-Barclay of Great Britain will also be on the start line. As will America’s Taylor Knibb, Australia’s Ashleigh Gentle and Switzerland’s Julie Derron.
