The official announcement lists the following programme:

- Pamplona, Spain, 13 and 15 May: aquathlon, middle distance and aquabike.
- Cáceres, Spain, 5–6 June: duathlon.
- Kitzbühel, Austria, 11–13 June: Europe Triathlon Championships.
- Almere, Netherlands, 11 September: Challenge long-distance championships.
- Izvorani, Romania, 17–19 September: youth championships.
- Ceuta, Spain, 2–3 October: sprint and mixed relay.
What age-group athletes should check
A championship date is one part of planning an international season. Eligibility, selection and registration are separate steps, so athletes should confirm the pathway for their particular discipline before committing to travel.
World Triathlon’s age-group guidance explains that amateur athletes compete in age and gender categories and represent their country at World and Continental championship events. Entries are managed through national federations, which set qualification criteria and identify qualifying races where applicable.
For British athletes, that makes British Triathlon the point of reference for Great Britain team requirements. A host-city announcement should not be treated as confirmation that an athlete has qualified, or that every entry process is already open.
A useful starting point for clubs
For a club considering a group trip, the practical next step is to match members’ preferred discipline and distance to an event, then build a shared checklist covering qualification, registration, equipment transport and accommodation. Those decisions are easier to coordinate before individual travel arrangements are made.
Almere’s place in the programme continues an established relationship. Triathlon Insight previously reported on the organiser’s agreement to extend European championship hosting, including a letter of intent covering 2026, 2027 and 2028.
