Profile Design brings an aero cockpit to Zwift Ride

Profile Design’s Zwift Ride Supersonic Aerobar gives owners of the indoor bike a dedicated way to add an aero position, bringing extensions, armrests and virtual-riding controls together in one package.
The announcement in Zwift’s newsroom describes a cockpit developed around a redesigned tray, with space for the aerobars and integrated Zwift Click mounts. Profile Design announced a UK launch price of £220.
What is included
The current product page lists the Supersonic bracket, Ergo+ armrests and 52A aluminium extensions, alongside a 50mm tray, Click holders, a pair of Click controllers, USB-C covers and Allen keys.
Profile Design specifies 400mm extensions with a 52-degree ski bend. Its accompanying technical sheet sets out the bracket and armrest adjustment dimensions, giving riders and fitters a reference for assessing the available position.
Profile Design’s US store currently lists pre-orders, with shipping scheduled to begin in the week of 23 November 2026. UK buyers should check their supplier’s delivery schedule.
Putting position into the indoor training discussion
The relevance for triathletes is straightforward: indoor equipment also needs to accommodate the position an athlete wants to practise. A rider preparing for a race on extensions may want to spend some training time with their forearms supported, while retaining access to the platform’s controls.
That makes adjustment a central part of the conversation. The useful question is whether the available reach, height and armrest arrangement can support the rider’s intended setup. Matching a particular outdoor bike should be assessed from measurements and the rider’s fit, rather than assumed from the presence of aerobars.
The integrated controls are part of that same practical issue. Keeping the functions an athlete needs within reach can make a chosen training position easier to use for a complete session. It also gives coaches and fitters a more specific equipment question to discuss with clients who use Zwift Ride.
Indoor training choices extend beyond the cockpit. Triathlon Insight’s coverage of Wahoo’s recent smart-bike and trainer launches and HumanGO’s Zwift integration looks at other parts of the connected training setup.
For an existing Zwift Ride owner, the Supersonic package creates a focused upgrade to consider. Its value will depend on whether the rider needs an aero position indoors and whether the adjustment range suits that purpose.
